The Army’s RESET program plays a critical role in restoring equipment readiness after combat operations. The Army National Guard faced challenges in tracking budget execution at the work-order level, including material usage and labor hours. Data was dispersed across two enterprise systems, GCSS-Army for work orders and Army GFEBS for budget tracking—making it nearly impossible to produce accurate detailed reports quickly. The reliance on manual data extraction and Excel-based reporting consumed significant manual-hours and often led to inaccuracies, limiting the program’s ability to leverage real-time insights for effective management.

Solution

Aretum deployed a cutting-edge data analytics solution that transformed the Army National Guard’s ability to manage and analyze RESET program data. We collaborated closely with the client to define reporting requirements and map data sources. Leveraging Army Vantage (Palantir) and Contour queries, we created API-driven data pipelines that automatically pulled relevant information from both GCSS-Army and GFEBS. These APIs fed a dynamic Microsoft Power BI dashboard, allowing for real-time, detailed reporting that seamlessly combined work-order and budget execution data.

The dashboard provided deep visibility into material consumption, man-hour allocation, and cost performance across all equipment restoration activities. Our solution enabled advanced data analytics capabilities, including trend analysis, variance tracking, and predictive forecasting. By integrating these data sets, we allowed Command teams to quickly identify performance bottlenecks, optimize resource allocation, and make data-driven decisions to improve equipment readiness.

The comprehensive Power BI dashboard dramatically reduced manual reporting hours while delivering live actionable insights.
